ARTDECKO
“Mussel memory” ~ 2026 is part of our ArtDecko wall art series, inspired by the iconic tile patterns of the Art Deco movement from the 1920s and 1930s.
What began as an exploration of translating recycled skateboard veneers into geometric compositions quickly evolved into something much richer. Beneath the surface, we discovered an expansive visual language of rhythm, symmetry, and repetition—opening up endless possibilities.
The result is a collection of striking geometric artworks that play with perception and challenge the viewer’s eye. The natural variation in the coloured skateboard layers adds depth and movement, creating subtle three-dimensional effects that shift with every glance. Each piece captures the energy, creativity, and layered history of skateboarding in a refined, architectural form.
